Downloading from Clubbox - for Windows XP & VISTA

NOTE: Clubbox only works on Internet Explorer, no IE, no clubbox!

This tutorial is made by badstar and xsoulwinx of GOE;SS , no part of this tutorial should be shared or distributed outside of this LJ community.

If you have questions, feel free to post it here or PM me on the communities that I am a member of.
I cannot promise you though that I can answer all of your questions, I am not a clubbox expert, but, I will try my very best to answer them all.

Step 1:

1.1 Install this:

www.clubbox.co.kr/neo.fld/ClubboxSetup.exe

1.2 Go to your desired clubbox, ex: clubbox.co.kr/GodsoftheEast

Step 2: Join the clubbox if necessary (Recommended)

NOTE: Some clubboxes requires the users to join their box in order for you to see and download the files (The GOE;SS CB requires membership). Some clubboxes require a password which will either be sent to you by the box admin or which you have to ask or earn by yourself.



After clicking that one, a pop-up window will appear confirming your membership.
Click on the 'OK' button (it doesn't say 'OK' really, but it's pretty obvious because that's the only button you can click.

Step 3:

Now that you can already view the files. You are ready to download!

Follow these simple steps:

(Steps are on the screencap)
3.1 Check on the file/s you want to download.
3.2 Click on the download button. (The download button is diff. from the quick dl button)

NOTE: Quick DL is a whole different story, you cannot use it unless you have enough points.



3.3. A new window will appear containing a summary of the files you want to download. Click the download button again to confirm.




Step 4:

Clubbox Manager

When you confirm, your cb manager will now be opened.
Below is a screencap of how the clubbox manager looks like.




NOTE: Please make sure that you install the Nowstarter cab thing. It's what keeps clubbox running.
If you didn't install it the first time, remove the installer again and all files related to clubbox  and reinstall the application.

Hello there (: ♥

- Make sure that you are logged in -
01; Open your Clubbox application.
02; Click on the Mileage tab (the last tab).
03; On the bottom right, press the 'Mileage Exchange' button.
04; A window will open with the following:
1000 points - 2 GB - 5 days
2000 points - 5 GB - 10 days
3000 points - 10 GB - 15 days
5000 points - 30 GB - 20 days
10000 points - 100 GB - 60 days
20000 points - 300 GB - 90 days
Choose the coupon that will suit your needs (:

i actually have a problem to download from clubbox for a long time. before this i refer to the other tutorial. if you want to download from clubbox for the 1st time, the popup for activeX or nowstarter.cab(i forgot which one coz i refer to many tutorial and its already a month,sorry) will appear instead of the popup for download and you must install it 1st and then repeat the download procedure but for me,that popup never appear, it skip to the download pop up. and then my download did not moving and its still at 0kbs.i already follow all the instruction such as only using the IE and turn off pop up.
so my question is is there other way to install that thing other than waiting for the pop up?or there are other reason why my download not moving?

try unstalling it then re-install. it happened to me and when someone told me this trick, it worked.

i have a problem too. i've tried dl-ing from your CB and it starts alright but it stops at 50% and restarts again. do you know what's wrong with my CB?

I'm sorry, Clubbox does not work on Macs ): As I've said before to another LJ-er, Clubbox has yet to discover that Macs do exist... (This is the only thing that's stopping me from buying a Mac @_@)

yeah i got that activex thing

'This website wants to run the following add-on :'(C)NOWCOM Starter' from 'Nowcom Inc'. If you trust this website bla..bla..'

when i click at the pop-up..a box came out and it gives 2 options ; Run @ Don't Run.

but then i clicked Don't run and now i can't download the file. when i close the windows and open it back to install the add-on (hoping that the pop-up will show again)..but the pop-up doesn't show.

Just wanted to add a tip for IE haters or those who have constant problems using it like me.

J get clubbox to work just fine with a firefox add-on called IE Tab, which embeds IE into Firefox. When I go to a cb page I immediately right click and select "view page in ie tab" and the window that normally pops up when you click the download button just opens in a separate tab, and closes when you press the download buttons again.

Are all the videos here all in CB too? And are there some videos that are only posted in CB and can not be found here? Coz i'm looking for dvd releases of the T concert. :D

Yes, all the videos here can be found in our clubbox.
I'm not sure if we have the raws for the T concert DVD.
We usually don't release raws for these DVDs.

every time i click the start button on the cb manager it immediately switches back to pause.

i read that other people had that problem too, but i never found a solution for this :(

any ideas, maybe?

Oh, this happens to me too ^^; Most of the time with uploads. I restart my PC or just wait a bit~ That usually resolves the issue for me (:

I can't believe it's working ^^
(I've resigned to the fact that clubbox hated me, but apparently not)
I can now download from clubbox, how cool is that?

PS: Can I pause and resume the download as I like? Will shutting down my PC or leaving it paused for a day or two make it un-resumable?

If you shut down your PC, the Clubbox window won't appear automatically when you switch it on the next time. You just need to download the file again (like, check the file and click download to make the CB window to appear), and your download will resume provided that you didn't delete the .CRCDATA and .NEO file. (:

On the other hand, if you pause your download and instead of shutting down, you hibernate your PC, you'll be able to just resume the download as you like (since the CB window will still be there).

I have a question..

How do i resume files?

Because my brother caused a short circuit in the ENTIRE house the other day when I was 99% done with my download..

Can it be resumed? T_T

And also.. I read somewhere there is a resume function to do with baskets?

Let's say you wanted to download Bolero PV from GOE;SS' Clubbox. You just need to go to our Clubbox page, check the exact same file and click download. The CB window will appear and the download will resume provided that you didn't delete the .CRCDATA and .NEO files.

Hello, thanks for the tutorial. I already have clubbox and have been using it for quite a while, but lately when I try to use it it starts the dl and then closes itself so that it never finishes. Do you know what's going on?

are you saying that you couldnt download
from CB after you started to use streamyx?

clubbox works fine with streamyx. i've heard a rumor
about streamyx banned CB but that was around 2 years
ago? i had trouble using CB way back then but when i
was in my aunt's house a few weeks ago, it worked
perfectly fine. i've just changed my CPU so i'm still
in the process to see whether CB will work for me again

Q: clubbox doesn't work if your internet speed is slow is it? say, below 1Gbps~
(coz currently mine's like that T__T can get fast internet only when i'm at home - once a year that is *painful*)

Okay, so I too am having problems with clubbox I hate that program so much. lol

Okay, so, I did everything stated for vista and it will not download. I click the link, click the download button, then nothing. It will not even add the file to my que. It's really frustrating ><

Please let me know if you know whats going on. lol

lack of clubbox = what for mac?

do you have any other downloading sources since you've switched completely over to clubbox? I really love watching your videos, you guys do such a good job and I'm saddened that I can't use clubbox due to being a mac user.
